It has been ascertained that the History Retrograding Army is aiming for Edo Castle, a castle which belonged to Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu as well as the government office of Edo Bakufu. In order to get more detailed information than the government of the time, Saniwa was decreed to investigate Edo Castle.
Event Period: 21 March 2017 (Tues) 16:00 until 11 April 2017 (Tues) 12:00 Japan Standard Time.
How to Play[]
In the Sortie menu, click on the event banner, and the maps of the event will appear.
To participate in the event, one pass is required per sortie. The maximum number of passes that can be owned at the same time is three, and they can be replenished with 1000 koban.
Passes are automatically replenished every day at 5:00 and 17:00 JST.
There are four types of difficulties in the event maps, from Easy to Expert. During sorties, press the Forward, Backwards, Left, and Right buttons to advance node by node.
A map is cleared when the boss node is defeated. Note that all keys obtained on the sortie will be lost if the boss is not defeated.
About the Number of Moves[]
This event allows a limited number of moves at the beginning of a sortie depending on the map:
- Initial number of moves:
- Easy: 5
- Normal: 5
- Hard: 6
- Expert: 7
Defeating enemies in battle might grant up to three additional moves. If no more moves are left, then the team will be forced to retreat. In this case, all obtained keys will be lost.
About Map Nodes[]
Previously visited nodes except for the first one can be revisited in this event. However, once cleared their effects are lost for the rest of the run. Also, there are blank nodes where nothing happens.
Here are the types of nodes in this event:
- Enemy node (purple) : A battle will be triggered
- Blank node (gray) : Nothing will happen
- Key node (yellow) : Key drops
- Boss node (purple) : A boss fight will be triggered, and the team will return to the citadel
About Keys[]
Keys may be obtained from Key nodes and from defeating enemies in battle. However, in the event of returning to the citadel, defeat, or running out of moves, all keys obtained during the sortie will be lost.
The boss must be defeated in order to keep the keys.
Note that keys will disappear after the event and will not show up in the next one.
About Treasure Chests[]
Five keys brought back to the citadel are needed to unlock one treasure chest.
To do so, press the 'Unlock Treasure Chest' button on the bottom of the event map selection page. Then select any chest(s) you wish to unlock and press the 'Unlock' button.
Special Items[]
Treasure Chest Reset Passes[]
Once unlocked, treasure chests may be reset to their locked state by using the 'Treasure Chest Reset Pass', an event-only item, available at the Shop. Using this item will reset the chest and make it possible to claim its reward again.
- The arrangement of the chest will differ before the reset
- Reset passes will stay in the Inventory after the end of the event
Investigation Tool Sets[]
The 'Investigation Tool Set' is an item that can only be used in this event. It may be purchased at the Shop.
Effects:
- The tool set will be used instead of the regular pass.
- Key nodes will be visible during the sortie.
- Keys will be kept even upon defeat or retreat.
Note that the sets will disappear after the event and will not show up in the next one.
