あいつは、伝説で鳴狐が斬ったばけものではない。
キツネと出会ったのは、もっとずっと後のこと。

刀はただの美術品になっていた。鳴狐は退屈を持て余していた。
そこに、キツネが来て、鳴狐に言った。
再び鳴狐の出番が来る。それに備え、穏やかな心で待っていろと。
そして、キツネは約束を守った。
キツネのおかげで、鳴狐を使ってくれるあるじと出会えた。
鳴狐はもう、飾られているだけの刀ではない。だから、あるじのために戦う。

Dear Master,

My latest letter must've confused you more than it should. Let me explain a bit further.
Swords ended up being no better than art pieces. Passivity put Nakigitsune at a loss.
That was when the fox arrived and told Nakigitsune.
That Nakigitsune would have another chance. That he must prepare himself and await it at ease.
And so, the fox kept his word.
